SO I don’t think I have posted these here on this site so i figured I would start posting more pics. These are pics of my daughter making homemade applesauce. She had gotten a tooth pulled so she was unable to go to school but wasn’t really sick and her class was suppose to make applesauce at school, so I felt bad that she was missing out on such a fun activity, that i decided we would do it at home together. And so we did! IT was super easy and lots of fun!

So we had some pictures taken. And the picture where we are laying down, my hubby pointed out that, my son Lucas looks just like my brother John. SO I took a look at some pictures of my brother and sure enough, the smile and facial expression of my Lucas is just like my brother! It’s kinda funny because I am adopted, and my son resembles him! I think it’s cute. Who would’ve thought!

I will post more of our pics later. Our computer is broken temporarily and I am using my netbook which has no disc reader.

We did have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner of which we spent at a friends house. WE normally always host, so it was nice to not have to host and get to relax and only make a few side dishes to bring! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving as well.

  • The snow we had last week…for a day

So my kids have never really gotten to experience snow falling and playing in the snow. My daughter was born in South Florida, Boca Raton Community hospital to be exact. We lived in S. Florida until she was about 2yrs old. Then off to Italy we went. Now mind you, it doesn’t snow in Naples, Italy however, we did take the kids up to a resort to go Ski’ing. Snow was already there, nothing falling from the sky. Lucas was almost one. Still wasn’t walking yet so he just basically just sat with me watching everyone. Kiana tried ski’ing as so did I. Key word being Tried… I felt like i was on an eliptical machine.. lol. Needless to say, she did have fun but never really got to see how the snow got to be. So last wednesday, it snowed a little bit. Enough for her to go sledding down the driveway and onto the street. Eat snow and jump around in it. She had a blast! So here’s the deal, her snow boots from last year still fit her so she was able to go out and play. Lucas’ snow boots didn’t fit anymore. So i wouldnt’ let him go outside until he had some. So i went to the mall, went to almost every store that sold snow boots, including department stores like burlington Coat factory, and every store wanted at least $35.00 for some snow boots size 7/8 toddlers. I can’t afford, nonetheless even if I could, spend more that much on a pair of snow boots that he will outgrow so fast. So finally after searching and searching, I found a pair at Rack Room shoes for $16.00!! YAY. well, by the time i got home, it was dinner time! So, my husband and I decided that we would sneak out after we put our daughter to bed, and take him for a ride in his new sled. Kiana went to bed, out we snuck out! Lucas had a blast!

  • My trip to see my Nephew

So the weekend before last, I took a trip to see my brother, sister in law who I hadn’t seen since my wedding, April 22, 2006!! AND TO MEET MY ADORABLE LIL nephew Charlie! Let me tell you about my Charlie…He is super handsome, great personality, just such a happy baby! Poor baby was sick all weekend long, but you would’ve never known. He masked it really well. He played so gentle and nicely with my daughter and son. Even when my son was trying to beat on him, he still was just as calm as ever, looking at my son like what are you doing cousin? My daughter has so much fun! She asked me why we never went to visit her Uncle John before… i said, well honey, we were miles and miles away in Italy. When we were stationed in Italy for 3 years, we didn’t come back to the states at all, not even for a visit. I was afraid, we would miss the states and not want to go back to Italy. So we just took trips around Europe instead! How many 5yrs olds can say they went to DisneyWorld in PARIS??!!! lol.. Anyways, back to my weekend at my brothers. It was nice to see my brother and sister in law. Charlie was our super bonus! He has such an awesome 1st bday party too. I’m telling you, for a sick baby, he was such a good sport. Now in my days of parenting, i have seen some tantrums, sick babies, teething babies, cranky babies, just out right i don’t want to listen babies… Charlie was none of the above! He was the smiling baby!!! That lil man could probably throw up and still manage to give out a smile! (kinda like my son did once) The day of Charlie’s bday party, the weather was really nice out, so we got the oppurtunity to take the kids to a really nice park nearby. They had a blast! As many times as i have been to NYC, I have never once been to a kids park there. To my surprise, it was very nice! I’m from the subarbs, def not a city girl…so to be in a busy city at a nice park, was new and exciting for me! Charlie and his wonderful Nanny came with us for a little bit. Charlie loves the swings! He can swing too! His nanny was really nice. Charlie had lots of fun trying to chase around his cousins. I think if we would’ve stayed there for a week, Charlie for sure would be fast walking! He’s super smart (duh, look at his parents, I know for a fact, my brother is one of the most intelligent, brainiacts out there), he picked up on everything my kids were doing. It was so cute, he would make his way to where they were and when he got there, my active children of mine, would run off to somewhere else. Poor Charlie, I could just tell he was cursing them out in baby language, telling them to keep their *sses in one place!! lol  He loves other kids though! So i think in the just few days we were there, i grew pretty fond of my nephew. My daughter grew very fond of him and her Uncle and Auntie too. So looks like we will make a trip up again sooner than later! Oh and Charlie has this AWESOME kitchen, so now my husband and I have decided that we will have to buy a kitchen for the kids. Maybe then, they’ll stop taking my measuring cups, pots, tupperware from my kitchen!! lol. One advantage to Lucas having his birthday in January, we can hit the after Christmas sales!! lol. At for now it works. He wouldn’t know the difference! Thank you to my brother and sister in law for making the trip possible for us to come. WE truly appreciated it!! Now you won’t be able to keep us away! lol..

On another note, I didn’t get to see my other brother. I really thought we were going to see him. Kinda hoped we were. But we didn’t. Not too sure what’s going on with him, but i guess if I would call him and keep better touch i would know these things huh? Well, there is another trip being sought out, so maybe then!

It turns out I my friend Sophia who lives in Stafford, Va has a best friend who lives in Manhattan, going to NYU. I met her last week, and Sophia and I were discussing driving up to NY all together in their mini van and split the costs. (her family and my family have taken a few trips together, us all crammed in their mini van) So yay, maybe we will def be coming back super soon!!

  • Just another day in Maryland……

So my Thanksgiving went well. We finally cleaned up our house well enough to have guests and accomodate 10 adults and 10 kids! The oldest being almost 7yrs old and the youngest being about 7mos old! It started off slow.. meaning i had told everyone to be at my house by 230pm and we would try to start to eat at 330pm. Well let’s just say, other than my childhood friend Angie, and her fam coming 2 1/2hrs to our house got there at 130pm, everyone else started coming about 3pm. Rey was sitting in front of the couch in the living room, watching t.v and peeling potatoes for his garlic mashed potatoes!!! Needless to say, he wasn’t the only one running behind (thank god). Last year I was the one running behind so this year, i made sure i did all the chopping and prepping first thing in the morning! I made home made celery and bread stuffing, homemade sweet potatoe casserole, green bean caserole, and well i burnt the candied yams casserole! lol. my sweet potatoes took like 40minutes to boil and then another 30minutes to bake once i made the casserole and Rey hadn’t even boiled his potatoes! lol..Then we have a really nice dining room table that we a few years ago, has 2 leafs and 8chairs. well, we’ve never needed more than 6 chairs, so we never put the last 2 together. Well, when Rey went to put the 8th chair together, it had a broken leg. now we are down a chair and we only had enough chairs for the kids and ended up short 2 chairs for the adults. Well, by the time all the food everyone brought made it to the table, it looked like no one had room to seat. I began to kinda freak out. but in the end it all worked out! The guys decided to sit on the couch and eat on the tray tables we had and wath the football game! YAY!! So all in all, everyone had a great time! Great food! I cut open big trash bags and put them under the kids table and chairs, so there wasn’t much of a mess in the end!

Now back to normal living and work! lol.. So I am thinking about getting another job! We are so broke and my husband still hasn’t found a job… i’m trying to get him to just work at Kohls or Target during the day until we get word back from these jobs. Appearantly it takes a good 4-8mos to hear back and find out if you get a job from half these jobs that he’s applied for. In the meantime, our bills aren’t getting any less, and my paycheck isn’t getting any higher! lol.. I can’t even afford to go to my brothers for my nephews bday or my best friends for New years. I was planning on going to NY until my friend who just went, said it cost them about $150 in total for gas and tolls! Which isn’t bad but then we still have to eat and it’s expensive to eat there! Did I mention, my kids can eat!! Seriously, my daughter eats about the same amount of food as my husband especially if it’s something she likes! Then i have to go on a business trip to Va Beach leaving Sunday night the 12th. So all in all…. now i can’t go to NYC! ;( Maybe in January after we file taxes! That sounds like a plan! Note to self, if any of you are military, and you are transferring back to the states from overseas and your spouse has a government job (spousal hire) send them back a few months earlier if you can, to start job searching!!! I think if maybe Rey came back a few months earlier, he just may have a job by now. Even the people here, said it took like 8mos after they applied before they got a call back and then got hired. One family near us, said it took her husband almost 7mos after he applied and once they called to let them know he got the job, they had 6 weeks to pack up the family and move from California to here Maryland!!! (they did it too)!

Lucas, my son is talking up a storm nowadays but doesn’t talk much at daycare! I went to pick him up one day, one of the caregivers there, heard him talking to me and was like…wow, he talks alot!! I haven’t heard him talk that much since he’s been coming here! Now, Lucas was on a waiting list for months and he finally got a spot. So we have to pay and send him to keep the spot just by slight chance Rey does get a job. We maybe send him twice a week since he doesn’t have a job yet. This week, he’s been going all week since our neighbor had a project he needed help with and paid Rey to help him. Then he has a resume/job search class today until friday. Lucas has also been going poopie in the potty at school everyday since last week!!! VERY IMPRESSIVE since he doesn’t do it at home! lol.. So now we are potty training! I am not one to pour crap into a toilet so we are using the cushion seat on top of the toilet seat. It worked with our daughter so hopefully it will work with him! We’ll see! until next time………….hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

  • WOW it’s been a LONG TIME….

I haven’t done anything with this site in such a long time. The last blog enty i had posted was two kids ago and that boyfriend i was talking about, is now my husband! lol.

So to catch up in a short summary, I have a beautiful daughter named Kiana Mae, who is 5yrs old. She was born on May 2, 2005. She was suppose to be a cinco de mayo baby but ended up being breached about a week before due date. So I ended up having a C-section with her. Thankfully, my husband who was still in the Navy was stationed overseas and was able to make it in time for her birth. Since then, she has become my over dramatic, super smart, funny, delightful, girly girl. She ofcourse is 5 but swears and acts like she is 12yrs old!!!

Also since my las Blog, my then boyfriend Rey has become my husband. We got married in Yakima, Washington,  his hometown on April 22, 2006. All in all, it was a bit of a disaster but we, thanks to my family, we were able to pull it together, and make it the best we could. We’re married and still together, so that is all that really matters when it’s all said in done! (Though i have to admit…it really took me a LONG time to get over how things really went).

Then we left Miami, and off to Naples, Italy we went! Everything was great at first when we first got there. Then as time went on, Naples overbearing Trash problems, mafia problems, and Kiana’s asthma problems made us more and more anxious to come back to the states. Don’t get me wrong, if you are single, married with no kids, it’s got to be the best place to be! Food is awesome, soooo much to see and a great hub to go to all the other countries! while we were there we were able to go to Tunisia, London, Germany, Florence, Pisa, Bari, and I even took my daughter to DISNEY PARIS!!! My only complaint was, why put a Naval Base in the arm pit of the country!!!! My command that I worked for over there sucked, my husband on the other hand had a wonderful job and worked for wonderful people. All in all, I met some AWESOME friends there that i still keep in touch with and visit. Oh and to save the BEST for last about Italy… MY SON LUCAS MATEO was born in Italy! He was born on January 6th, 2009. See the hospital on base is a “community” hospital, they didn’t have a NICU or enough blood at hand for me if there were by chance something go wrong, so if I wanted to have a natural vaginal birth, i would have had to fly to Germany’s base, or come back to the states. They wouldn’t pay for my husband or daughter or our moms to come, so it would’ve been very complicated to figure out who’s flying into where and when all at the last minute, so i just stuck with the having another C-section so everyone could be there. The planned date for my son was to be January 19th, (my dad’s bday) but as you can read, he ended up coming out on the 6th. I had a placental abruption. See with my daughter, i never had any contractions or anything. So when i had my first contraction with my son…it was wierd! I loved it, i know those of you moms that went through the whole thing, think i’m crazy…. but for me, it was something new and alive! So i got to experience some contractions with my son. Everything went well with my son. I even breastfed him until he was 14 months!!!! (only did 8mos with Kiana) So then our time was up in Italy. Time to move on to my next duty station… where to go??!! I really really really wanted to go to San Diego, California! I even offered to take a Carrier (no one really wants to go to those ships) out of there. Nope, my only choices were Norfolk, Va or Ft. Meade, Md… So i took something different and here I am in Maryland!

So, we got to Maryland… it’s alot different than I remembered. Everything is soo expensive and it’s alot harder than we thought for my husband to find a job. He still hasn’t found one. He even is on Leave without Pay so he can keep his government status paygrade and have priority placement.. Still nothing. See, when we were in Italy, I got paid more due to Cost of Living and being overseas you generally get more money to compensate. So being here, I personally have taken a at least $2,000.00/mos pay cut. Not to mention my rent is only about $400-$500 less. But still, that $2000.00 makes a big difference! Plus, Rey isn’t working. So all in all, we are making ends meet but it’s been a struggle. I think we are finally adjusting. I must say it’s taught me alot. It’s forced me to know the difference between needs and want items…My daughter is being despoiled! lol.. She’s understanding that she can’t get everything under the moon that she wants. So that is cool. I’m all about coupons now! I spend more quality time with the kids since it’s free! lol..I’ve learned to cook more and make up meals with what we have. It’s great! Not saying I prefer to not have that extra money or a nice buffer but hey, we are all healthy, and have each other and I think that’s all that matters. Love goes along way. My kids know how much we love them. AND….Did I mention, I have a new nephew??!!!! I can’t wait to meet him! His name is Charlie! He is super, super, super cute!!! Hopefully I will get to meet him really soon! These half korean boys are the handsome-ist!!! lol… Can’t wait for Charlie and Lucas to be able to play together! That was one of the reasons why I am glad to be in Maryland! I love you Charlie!!!

And well, that’s all for now. It’s alot!!! wow. I’m gonna see how much I can keep up with this! Now if I can just figure out how to change my weblog settings and add pictures… time to go figure it all out!

  • hhhmmm… wow, I haven’t written in a long time!

Well, all is going well here. Just been working, working and working… I had 4 people join the Navy last month, and have alot of people shipping to bootcamp this month!!!! It’s great though when I get letter’s from them while they are in bootcamp. I actually hand write them back ! But work has been going well and busy…

I went to Jacksonville last weekend. It was great, I got to hang out with some close friends of mine that I was stationed with in Bahrain before I came to this duty station. It was like old times!! It’s really weird cuz I couldn’t get as drunk as I used to when I was stationed in Bahrain. I am convinced that it has got to be an “overseas” thang! But we had good times! I needed a break away from here, it takes about 4hrs to drive up north there so it was cool. I also had gone up there a few weeks before that and I got a fucking $180.00 speeding ticket! Now that sucked! I was cruzin along going maybe 100mph most of the way, saw the cop, down shifted which dropped me to like 90mph, and then I was watching the po-po the whole time and he looked hesistant so I just slowed down to like 85 and switched lanes, well to make a long story short, my ass should have never slowed down that much and switched lanes…. should’ve kept on going, that mofo wouldn’t have been able to catch up! The fucked up part bout it all is….. AFTER he handed me the ticket, he even said, “you know if ya didn’t slow down like you did, I wouldn’t have caught you”…… I wish a mofo would………..So now I have a stupid ticket. That’s why I hate taking long trips cuz I have a freaking speeding problem! lol…

Anyways, I am sooooo excited cuz I get to see my boyfriend!!!! I am going on leave in a week to go see him!!!!! It sucked cuz at first I wasn’t sure if I was gonna cuz the news media was blowing shit up and making it seems worse than it was... Meaning where he is stationed at… they were saying it was “dangerous” to go there.. Well, the base said it was cool, and the US embassy said it was cool and that there were no restrictions. and they all are still going out to clubs and doing their thang,  So now I am happy. I get to go!!! WHOO-HOO!!!! Not much else for now.. just wanted to catch up a lil bit.

catch ya’ll on the flip side!!!

May 11, 2004

  • Today was a productive day for me.  I met this really cool girl who wants to join the navy and she is smart! See, when I started recruiting, I told all my guy friends that I would put in only good looking females for them! lol.. well, for a long while finding good looking females that were smart was very hard. Now that we can’t really put in any females…..due to space availability, all the good looking smart chics wanna join! lol.. Anyhow, If they take the Nuclear field route, they can join. So today this girl who loves math and physics and scored pretty high on the ASVAB wants to join and she just may go nuc!! I like being able to put em in. It’s my job, but I really hate turning well qualified people who really want to join away due to circumstances. Anyhow, I am real tired now for some reason. I have started going to the gym again so that makes me happy and I feel good. I worked out on chest, abs and ran for about 20 min. I need to quit smoking!!!!!!!!!! ha, not in the recruiting business!! lol. My PRT (Phsical Readiness Test) is in a couple of weeks… No, we aren’t  the AF…(sorry all you AF peeps., but when I found out that you guys used to just ride a stationary bicycle for your Physica Test, I was shocked). Well, I have always gotten an outstanding on my PRT…… like 40-60 push up in 2min, 100 situps in 2 mins, and the mile and a half run in about 10min30s -11min-30sec.. I am trying to get 50pushup and 103situps and wanna do the mile and a half in 10min45sec. this time round.. so off to the gym I go!!! I am about 5’5 and weigh about 134lbs and can you believe, I can weigh up to 165lbs and still be considered w/in standards??!!!! LMAO!!! THAT’S FAT TO ME! Well, for me it would be… I don’t wanna insult anyone else. But still…. if I wighed that…. whooaaa!!! I am trying to lose 10lbs as it is! lol.. I like my size just need to tone up really. So I am taking these pills called Thermonex… I like trying all these new pills they come out with! lol.. I will try anything once… just to see if it works. that’s the way I am.. You know how they say….Innocent until proven guilty….. My thing is….GUILTY till proven innoccent! lol… So when people say oh this really works, or this is good shit….I gotta try it for myself! Anyhow, so far so good. I still miss my Exandrine w/Ephedra!  I was so sad when they took that off the market!  Oh well. onto a new subject……

My boyfriend! I love him a whole bunchers. we talk everyday. Even though he is like miles and miles and miles away! He is stationed in Bahrain! That is where I was before I came here! Duh, I am sure I have probably already written that in one of my entries before. The whole long distance thing isn’t hard really. Just alot of things that bother me definitely wouldn’t bother me if he were here with me or vice versa. I am learning to trust him. I obviously trust him enough to be with him being that he is way over there and I am here in Fl.  I just really miss him. And he gots all these stupid lil girls that wanna hook up with him… That’s not the problem though… I just can’t stand a ho that doesn’t respect the fact that he already has a girl and wit someone! There’s this one particular chic that keeps trying to get wit him and I DON’T LIKE HER!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t like her cuz she knows I am wit him and keeps trying at him. Thank god she’s not there but she still be trying to IM him and shit. He tells me about though. He even tells me that he doesn’t like her, he don’t care about her, and he wants nothing to do with her.  But I just can’t to think that he does talk to her. but who knows…Agggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh…………… I guess I just gotta trust him on that one. but it bothers the fuck outta me! Other than that… I can’t wait to see him! I will be seeing him in a couple of months so that’s cool. Overall …. we are doing great and we are happy! lol…

And on another note, the weather here is great! And I am starting to study for my E-6 exam! I take the advancement test in sept so we’ll see! I doubt I will make it my first time up but hopefully the 2nd! I will have exactly 6yrs in on June 2nd!! whooohoooo! And now I am gonna go watch my shows! Check ya’ll later!

April 22, 2004

  • Yea, today was a good day! We made our mission for the month! that is always a great feeling. I was actually pretty happy today cuz this guy I put in the Navy today was pretty cool.. His father originally wanted him to join the Navy but he wanted to join the AF… His twin sis is in the AF so that is completely understandable. He just couldn’t get a job that he wanted guaranteed to him so he came and saw me. He ended up getting a job on contract with us and is happy w/it.! He’s a great kid and I hope he enjoys his journey with the navy. I like helping people out that need just a lil bit of direction. Recruiting isn’t quite the job that I would do for more than the allotted time I have to. It’s not like selling a product that you buy once and if ya don’t like it ….oh well… SO, for me I take it pretty serious and don’t like to B.S anyone.. I just don’t find a need in being a shady recruiter. I feel really bad for this one guy cuz he really really wants to join but he can’t pass the asvab, and I see his passion to join.. That’s the down side of recruiting too. I hate seeing people who are really good people and want to better themselves and do something for their country but for some reason if it’s not a medical problem or educational problem, they can’t join…

Anyhow, other than work, I gotta a 3day weekend so I am happy. I am gonna go out on my friend’s boat tomorrow out on the intercoastal! Actually, my station which consists of just one other recruiter and the recruiter in charge & me ofcourse, are all going out on the boat. I think I may try wakeboarding again… I just can’t seem to get up out of the water!! lol… I did like once for like all about 5 sec before I just fell back into the water! I just can’t seem to get into the right position to where I am angles to the side ! crazy i tell ya!  Then tomorrow night we are going to go to a MARLINS VS ATLANTA BRAVES babeball game. We just found out all their games are free to military, close family members ! So off we go to that! GO MARLINS!  Actually, I am not that huge of a fan of baseball, i prefer, football and like to watch live hockey games (they are always fun to watch)…. But hey, I can sacrifice! lol..

well, I am about to watch Intolerable Cruelty and SWAT ! I watched Cheaper by the Dozent he other night! that was a good movie! Now I know where my boyfriend gets the whole lets have 12 children thing from! yea, ok….YOU can have 12 kids …is what I tell him! lol.. Anyhoo, I will talk to you all laterz! have a nice one! I’m outta here!

April 15, 2004

  • A wish a mutha fucker would…………..tell me that I can have the one open seat for the month for females and then let another recruiter put in a female!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I know….work work work…. Being a Navy recruiter isn’t all that easy when our retention level is the highest of all services and the Navy wants QUALITY people…Seems like these days everyone thinks the Military itself will take anyone!! NOT the NAVY BABY!!!!! This morning I got this loser call me and tell me that he wants to join the navy but has 2 felony charges… #1…possession of Marijuana OVER 25grms….#2…possession of coccaine…OVER 25grms…… When he was 18yrs old..;now is 23yrs old and needs money and a life! lol….Should of thought of that when you were 18!!! I know we all do stupid things and shit but that wasn’t the point….the point is…HE tried to make me feel guilty by telling me that ..he used to be a big time drug dealer and that is why he got em 2 felony charges…and that if we didn’t let him join…He was gonna go back out and start selling drugs again and to all the kids in town…. that he wasn’t gonna straighten out his life cuz he was in desperate need of money, had a baby on the way and blazaye, blazaye……I said ok…. and… if you wanna fuck up your life and be a shitty father to your soon to be child…more power to ya…. then I told him to go call the army cuz they can take alot of people we can’t…..(no offense to any of you soldiers, got much respect for you all and what you do for the country)….  First off, I don’t know the mofo so why the fuck would I care what he does….2nd…I have no sympathy for anyone who can’t help themselves….. I wasn’t no angel growing up, didn’t have it easy either  but I was able to turn my life around and make ends meet ALL BY MYSELF… It’s ignorant people like that…that get on my nerves!  And all these people who think that they can drop outta high school, get a GED and get in trouble in the law and all of a sudden wanna join the navy… Yea, back in the day …..they could…now…shit’s changing…the navy wants all these quality people…well at least in south florida! Maybe not in bumfuck egypt….I know some states still can put in people with GED’S and shit but not Miami District!  The navy is getting more technical and better…

Ok…enough about work… I was looking on line for Exadrine W/Ephedra and NOPE…No joy!!!! I was told about 11mos ago they stopped selling products w/ephedra then the other day when I was at GNC, the guy told me that it WAS still being sold online but as of the 12th of this month it has been banned! That they no longer sell them even on line!!! WTF!!! How come no one ever told me that?!!! lol… I am so outta the loop man!  I guess that is what I get for being stationed on a Desert Island (Bahrain) for a year and not paying attention to the world….instead just working and Drinking !!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD TIMES, GOOD TIMES!!! I swear every moment I wasn’t working or sleeping I was drinking my ass off!!! Damn sailors! Can a mutha fucker get a WHOO-WOO…….

Aight…I’m outta here!! Catch ya’ll on the flip side!!!
